A tall, yellow-flowered perennial of roadsides and hedgerows throughout Scotland. Strongly aromatic, it has been used to treat digestive problems and as an insect repellent in organic gardens. 150cm tall.

Sowing: Can be sown at any time of year, but best in early autumn or in spring. Sow in trays or pots of moist compost and transplant to an open site or scatter directly onto a fine raked seed bed and firm down well. Water well and keep the young plants weeded.
