Clustered Bellflower (Campanula glomerata)

Clustered Bellflower grows in the wild in just a few lime-rich grasslands on the east coast of Scotland. It has clusters of intense purple, bell-shaped flowers in July & August. A perennial, it grows up to 90cm and is a good nectar source for bumblebees. Ideal for a well-drained, sunny site.

Sowing:  Can be sown at any time  of year but best in early autumn or in spring. Sow in trays or pots of moist compost and transplant to an open site with light soil, or scatter the seed directly onto a fine-raked seed bed, firming down well. Water well & keep young plants weeded.

  • 60-90 cm
  • 1000+ seeds per packet
  • perennial

As with all our wildflower seed packets, the seed is of wild Scottish origin.
